Variety: 60% Nebbiolo (Chiavvennasca), 25% Merlot, 15% Syrah.
Trellis form: Guyot
Production area: Valgella, Carterìa vineyard. The vineyard is sistuated at 500 m. a.s.l. in the west part of the municipality of Teglio, south exposure.
Harvest: 40 hl/ha. The Merlot grapes are picked on September the 30th, the Nebbiolo grapes on October the 13th, the Syrah grapes on October the 24th.
Wine making: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for two weeks with maceration of six days. Malolactic fermentation in barriques, aging for twelve months in barriques.
Alcoholic content: 13,50% vol.
Total acidità: 5,10 g/l
FOOD MATCHING: first courses in general, especially typical of the Valtellina (pizzoccheri, sciatt, chiscioi, Crespelle of buckwheat), white meats and soft cheeses.
