Plozza FRANCIACORTA DOCG Brut

The area of Franciacorta is a “wine zone” near the Lake of Iseo in which, since the sixties, it is produced a sparkling wine with the “classic method”, the same used to make the Champagne. We can well to say that the “Franciacorta” wine is a synonym of “quality sparkling wine”, and it has a trademark  of an absolute value. Since 1995, it enjoys the status of DOCG wine.

Variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc & Pinot Noir

After the fermentation in the bottle, the  Franciacorta Brut ages for 18 months on the lees. From the realization to the aging it passes 25 months. In this period in the bottle it creates a pressure of 5-6 atm.

Characteristics:

Its colour is straw yellow with green highlights and golden.

It has a thin and persistent perlage and a bouquet with the characteristic features of the fermentation in the bottle.

The aromas are reminiscent of the crust of bread and dried fruits (almonds, hazelnuts, dried figs).

Taste: the Franciacorta Brut is aromatic, fresh, delicate and extremely harmonious.
