Lagrein Alto Adige DOC San Michele Appiano

The Lagrein grape is native to South Tyrol and primarily grown there.The history of growing Lagrein in South Tyrol dates back to the fourteenth century. Today it is one of South Tyrol’s top reds. This Lagrein has a deep dark-red colour, powerful body with notes of lovely spices.

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging in large wood.

Pairs well with hearty dishes such as lamb lights, roasts, wild game and mature cheeses.
