Consortium is located in the first Valtellina sub-zone you can see starting fron Como Lake: the Maroggia.

The consortium produces wines which contain a small percentage of grapes that grow only in that area: the Merlina.

The Assoviuno is a consortium consisting of 76 wine producers in that area. Founded in 1981 by Monsignor Alfredo Prions and Daniele Crottogini. In its initial phase the Consortium has built roads through the vineyards, cableways and functional works to the management of the vineyards.

The Consortium of Maroggia Wine Producers has recently undertaken a series of actions aimed at enhancing the wine Maroggia and what is its ecosystem wine. This kind of enhancement passing through a series of measures that the consortium intends to introduce to the other winemakers and to a wide audience of consumers.

The activities carried out by the consortium, demonstrate a renewed interest by growers in the processing of the vineyards and a qualified and qualifying interest towards the grow of wine production.
