Bettini SANT'ANDREA Valtellina Superiore DOCG

This red wine, characterized by the appellation "Riserva Speciale", is produced with Nebbiolo grapes (Chiavennasca) grown in the DOC-vineyards of the wine growing and producing firm Fratelli Bettini.
The grape harvest takes place on the 30th November, St. Andrew's day. The maceration and fermentation at a decreasing temperature are seriously checked over.
The wine matures in new french barriques, and then refines in bottles for a suitable period.
It becomes an important ruby red colour, with an intense and elegant bouquet. The rich, warm and harmonious taste reveals a persistent note of little red fruits and spices.

FOOD MATCHING: it is a red wine suitable for most dishes, and particularly for first courses. It goes particularly well with cold cuts and white meat.
