The etymology of the word refers to the technology of processing of grapes. The bunches, collected and preserved on mats, are left to dry in special airy local to allow a concentration of the components; squeezed and fermented in late December, in a classical way. This method gives to the wine robustness, alcohol and softness.
Sforzato identifies all the characteristics of the typical Valtellina wines.
Color: strong ruby red with garnet reflections.
Perfume: intense; otistanding perfumes of plums ripe, jam, small ripe fruit, read spicy notes.
Taste: dry, of great body, broad, tannic.
Refining: cask oak 18 months. short passages in small oak casks.
FOOD MATCHING: for our dinner or lunch with sophisticated dishes but also for "meditation" with friends. It is the ideal wine at any time with good friends. It is indispensable to enjoy the rich and robust dishes of local cuisine, for expale “Salmì”.
